166 Golfers Come Together Under One Roof For Better Women's Addiction Services

The 2012 Friendship Golf Tournament at Grand Valley and Doon Valley Golf Clubs was our biggest tournament yet - 166 golfers! This highlight of the summer was back with more fun, more golf, and more good help for our neigbhours in need. This year, tournament proceeds of more than $23,000 benefitted House of Friendship's capital campaign, Under One Roof, to transform women's addiction services.

Andy Mikolaiczyk (Raymond James) team (upper left) had the hottest round of the day, winning Best Men's Team at Grand Valley, while Team Vigor-Tech (upper right) led the way at the Doon Valley. Golfers enjoyed a delicious BBQ before hitting the greens for some fun, including competitions throughout the course and meeting House of Friendship's Addiction Treatment Services Director, Pam McIntosh (above , centre in pics).

Once they were finished on the greens, golfers headed in for a hearty Dinner, during which Event Chair, Bob Shantz awarded team and competition prizes. Many thanks to the Golf Tournament Committee, corporate sponsors, media sponsor, prize donors, golfers, the Grand Valley Golf and Country Club, Doon Valley Golf Club, and all those who assisted to make this event such a success.
