RAAM supports both abstinence-based and harm reduction goals. Therefore, RAAM does not require individuals to stop using their substance of choice in order to receive support from our peer workers, counsellors or medical providers.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Our goal at RAAM is to meet you where you are at in your recovery journey. If that means you are only interested in counselling and\/or peer support, you do not need to see our medical provider.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

A health card is not required to register and receive services with RAAM. Note: If you are working with one of our medical providers and are prescribed medication your pharmacy may require that we provide this information to them when sending your prescription.<\/p>

Every new participant at our RAAM clinic is asked to provide a urine sample if they are meeting with one of our medical providers. The frequency of urine drug screens afterwards will be at the discretion of RAAM\u2019s medical providers. Urine drug screens are requested to ensure that any medication prescribed is done safely and is not used as a coercive or punitive measure.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Our RAAM clinic does not prescribe medication for chronic pain, including safer supply. Our clinic supports individuals in their substance use goals with medication to treat withdrawal and reduce cravings.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/details>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

The RAAM clinic is an outpatient service and does not offer any inpatient services.
