For most of us, home is about far more than four walls. Home is where we feel safe. It’s where we belong. It’s where we can rest, dream, connect with others, and build a future.
But for many people in Waterloo Region, that home can feel out of reach.
Every day, House of Friendship walks alongside people in our community who are experiencing complex challenges. Through the generosity of our incredible donors, we offer food security, stable housing, addiction treatment, and neighborhood support. These community connections help move people toward stability, belonging, and hope.
This fall, we invite you to join us as we explore what it truly means to be welcomed home.

Together, we’ll celebrate the upcoming completion of Friendship Village, a transformative supportive housing community that will provide more than housing – it’s a place where people can access support, build relationships, and find belonging.
Throughout the evening, you’ll hear powerful stories that highlight the journey from homelessness to housing and learn how supporters like you are helping create lasting change across Waterloo Region.
This year’s theme, Welcome Home, is not only about buildings or housing developments.
It’s about what happens when a community comes together.
It’s about creating spaces where people feel seen, valued, and supported.
It’s about ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to belong.
