February Potato Blitz Needs Your Help!

House of Friendship’s February Potato Blitz is moving online! This year’s virtual campaign will provide families and individuals in need with nutritious food.

Although this annual event looks different than previous years, you can still walk alongside your neighbours in their time of need. Hunger in our community has not gone away. Your caring support gives families and individuals the ability to tackle other challenges, without worrying where their next meal is coming from.

On Feb. 6, you are encouraged to make an online donation or host your own virtual community fundraiser. Share your fundraising efforts on social media and inspire others to support the February Potato Blitz. Local grocery stores are also providing the opportunity to donate at the checkout, in support of this year’s February Potato Blitz.

Your generosity and compassion contributes to the fight against hunger in Waterloo Region. Last year, you helped us raise $24,000 and 68,000 pounds of potatoes. This year, we need to raise $45,000 to help meet the growing need in our community. This year, the first $10,000 in donations will be matched – help us double the impact in 2021 and pave the way for a spud-tacular year!
