Extensive renovation work continues on our ShelterCare location at 190 Weber St. N., with an anticipated opening in January 2023.
We know you, as our closest supporters, are eagerly anticipating the opening of our new ShelterCare location in Waterloo (190 Weber St. N.).
Given the urgent need for shelter spaces in Waterloo Region, we continue to do all we can to see the completion of these renovations as quickly as possible. While the extent of the renovations has become more extensive than initially anticipated, amidst a time of labour and material shortages, we are committed to ensuring this facility is designed to meet the needs of those it is intended to support.
We anticipate a January opening, where men experiencing homelessness and acute health concerns will be able to receive 24/7 care, along with on-site primary health care, housing, addiction and mental health supports.
