Thank You for Feeding Families in Need

Tater enjoyed his debut at this year’s Potato Blitz.

This year’s Supermarket Blitz was a great success, thanks to you!

On Saturday, Feb. 9, nearly 400 volunteers came together at 28 local stores to help feed families and individuals in need.

Spuddy, Sweet and our Spud Family’s newest addition, Tater, were out in full force on Saturday, and were excited to see just how many Kitchener-Waterloo residents were willing to come together to ensure that no one is left behind – that everyone has access to healthy food, in spite of personal circumstances.

Because of this tremendous community support, nearly $24,000 was raised in one day, along with a whopping 68,000 lbs. of potatoes! Thank you!

Through your donations of cash and potatoes, you are helping to support our Emergency Food Hampers program, meeting a basic need for many in our community who would not be able to feed their families without help.

Every year, more than 23,000 hampers of food are distributed to through the Emergency Food Hampers program to 18,000 Kitchener and Waterloo residents.

Thank you for all you do to show you care for those in need!

There’s still a chance to support Potato Blitz, by donating online.
