Friendship Village:
BUILDING A PLACE TO BELONG

The Need

Homelessness is at an all-time crisis level in Waterloo Region

There is an urgent need for affordable and supportive housing options for individuals experiencing homelessness in Waterloo Region.

The challenges are monumental:

Rising rent

Increased cost of living

Limited housing supply

Growing mental health and addiction challenges

The challenges facing our community make it clear that action is needed NOW.

Visible homelessness in our community, in the form of downtown encampments, are now a part of Waterloo Region’s daily reality.

But what if there were solutions to this growing epidemic? And what if you could play a major role in making these solutions happen?
